Hello, I’m Sarah Madore. I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT® 200, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, YACEP®, based in Southern California. My yoga journey began in 2015 as a way to find calm in the chaos of life. My teaching style is slow, intentional, and nature inspired. I utilize my eclectic skill sets to create classes that mirror the changing seasons with a focus on nervous system regulation, relaxation, and deep healing. I completed my initial 200hr training in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Pranayama & Meditation at The Yoga Bubble in Conil de la Frontera, Spain. Since then, I have completed numerous certifications, including the 50hr Restorative Yoga Training at Trilogy Sanctuary in La Jolla, CA. One of my greatest joys as a teacher is being a lifelong student. I encourage playful curiosity in both my classes and everyday life. Creating an environment where students feel safe, at ease, and comfortably at home in their bodies is what my practice is all about.

Qualifications

My yoga journey began in 2015. I was attending Santa Barbara City College at the time, and enrolled for a semester of yoga classes. After the first class, I was hooked. I continued to practice at local Santa Barbara studios all throughout my time in college. I graduated from SBCC in 2017 with a handful of associate degrees and transferred to UC Santa Barbara that summer. During my time at UCSB, I studied abroad through UCEAP. My semester abroad was spent at the University of Queensland, Australia and the Solomon Islands National University studying Public Health and Environmental Research. Upon returning home, I graduated from UCSB in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I spent a few years working in luxury hospitality before deciding to take the plunge and become a yoga teacher. In January of 2020, I quit my job and signed up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Spain. I completed my initial 200hr YTT in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Pranayama & Meditation at The Yoga Bubble in Conil de la Frontera, Spain in early March 2020. I caught the last direct flight back to the US and landed in a world that had been completely shut down. With many of my favorite yoga studios shut down, some temporarily and others permanently, I turned my attention to assisted stretching. I completed a 70 hour accredited certificate program recognized by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence for assisted stretching and began working full-time. I spent 4 years working in boutique fitness studios, gyms, a chiropractic office, and with independent clients for assisted stretching. During my time, I trained many other practitioners, led various developmental trainings, workshops, and certifications, and completed a few additional certifications myself. As the world began to open up, my focus shifted back to yoga. In 2022, I began teaching yoga full-time at a summer camp in Sequoia National Park. I taught anywhere from 15 to 20 classes a week, encompassing a bit of everything. I taught 7am Slow Flow, Beginners’, Vinyasa, Paddle Board Yoga, Kids’ Yoga, Sunrise Hike Yoga, Restorative, Yoga & Live Music, and Staff Yoga. It was here that I fell in love with Restorative Yoga. In 2023, I completed the 50hr Restorative Yoga Training at Trilogy Sanctuary in La Jolla, CA and have been teaching Restorative ever since. I am currently an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT® 200, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, YACEP® based in North San Diego County. I’m grateful for how far I’ve come. Who knows where this journey will lead me next ♡
